Committed to dogs and dog problems: Janice, founder of ARF, is a highly qualified behavior consultant and dog trainer. Janice works with all breeds and breed mixes and specializes in addressing difficult behaviors such as separation anxiety, phobias and aggression. She has been working with dogs since 1996 and is active in rescue and rehabilitation.

Credentials: Janice is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer and a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant. She is an honors graduate of the prestigious San Francisco SPCA Training Academy Counseling program and has a Masters in Education from the University of Texas. She continues to study with some of the best in the business including Suzanne Clothier, Jean Donaldson, Bob Bailey, Patricia McConnell, and Dr. Raymond Coppinger. Janice has received numerous honors and special recognition from local and national groups, including the Austin Chronicle Miracle Worker Award.

Professional Associations: Janice is also an active member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants. She chairs the Awards Committee for APDT and is dedicated to upgrading professional standards for trainers and canine behavior specialists.

Janice's dogs: Her 7 older great dogs were rescued and rehabilitated, most of them for aggression and her 8th, a VERY, VERY active puppy, is well on her way to being a Simply Great Dog.
